Come, you are never too late!

Come, you are never too late!

If you know me, you know my pace of life tends to be fast, driven, and full of hustle. I am constantly pushing to fit in “just one more thing.” It’s the world’s way, and it has easily become my way. Unfortunately, it usually leaves me feeling tired and weary at the end of the day.

But God’s pace is entirely different. It’s slow, intentional, and full of grace. It is a gift freely given—not something we need to clamor for—patiently waiting for us to partake.

In His kindness, God used the people of Ethiopia today to remind me of a truth I often forget: I no longer need to believe the lie that I must perform, look perfect, or play a part to belong. He reminds me that I can show up broken, finite, and weary, and still receive His love. He invites me to sit beside Him, feel His loving gaze, and hear His truth spoken over me.

Lord, help me, help us choose You.

This morning, I caught myself getting emotional while reading the Parable of the Workers in Matthew 20. Whether the laborers joined the master in the morning, at noon, or in the late afternoon, the invitation remained exactly the same: Come.

Regardless of what those workers had or hadn’t done before, the master approached them with the same generous offer. God does the same for us today: “I’m bringing in a harvest, come and join my work. You can never be too late!”

It seems all the staff and kids at Bring Love In already get this. They show up each day, excited to learn, care for one another, and give so much love. They say ‘Yes’ daily to joining in Gods work.

I have been reminded afresh that God is not a math equation. I don’t have to be perfectly “prayed up” or working hard in my own strength to force Him to show up. That only leads to self-reliance. God is entirely self-sufficient, yet in His grace, He chooses to invite us into His work anyway.

This reminder comes after a long, hard season for my family. I’ve been fighting emotional exhaustion and trying to fix things on my own. But Jesus takes us exactly as we are—whether we are in full stride or crawling to His feet. There are no demands to hurry up, hustle harder, or do better. There is only: come as you are. All are welcome.

God took me halfway around the world to be with all the BLI

children who are full of joy and love despite incredibly difficult circumstances. He is using them to build His kingdom, and He is inviting me—and all of us—to join in.
It is never too late to accept your heavenly Father’s invitation.

Come!
